Riverwind's wired trailer cameras provides a cost effective way to monitor your livestock in tow, or use with any trailer.  Selecting the monitor's mirror function makes it the perfect backup.  The system was designed to stand up to a tough dirty horse trailer, so it easily will adapt for other uses.  In addition to many livestock saves, our wired systems have been successfully used on agriculture equipment to monitor out of view areas, semi trailers for shifting loads, and as back up monitors and hitch cameras.  The System includes our wide angle weatherproof bullet camera, a 5.8 inch color TFT LCD flat screen monitor with bracket and 50 feet of connection cable (comes 20' truck side and 30' trailer side, with a weatherproof disconnect in the middle.  This cable can be extended up to 100' total length in any combination).   Installation is as easy as running the monitor cable out through an access hole in the truck, along the frame to the hitch site.  At the trailer, run the cable from the hitch via the frame rail to either an access panel, or a doorway.  Once installed simply connect the hitch plug when you hook up the trailer.  The camera receives it's power from the monitor cable so there's no need to tie into the trailer wiring or replace batteries.  We carry both single and two camera systems.  The monitor conveniently plugs into your cigarette lighter or fuse panel and powers the entire system. Our weatherproof cameras provide a wide 90 degree field of view with .01 lux (low light) and 430 lines resolution.  The cameras are designed to stand up to the elements.   The color model automatically switches to black and white when the lighting condition become too low for the color to function properly, allowing for continued low light viewing.  This system comes pre-connected when shipped.  Simply open the box, plug it in and it's running.  A window mount and monitor remote control are included.  No technical knowledge is required for installation.

The addition of a second camera must be done initially.  Adding the second camera later is not possible as the monitor will not be properly set up to handle both cameras.  A two camera system can be operated using only one camera if needed.  Additional cameras are available should you need to set up multiple trailers for a single truck.
